SCCYAA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING
MARCH 12 , 2007
Attending: Attending-Laurie Maddox, Susie Rose, Jim Markosian, Sonya Davis, Deb Parkin, Gwen Schwab, Tricia Heinz, Katherine Taddeo, and Robert Taddeo.
Call to Order and Prayer at 7:10 p.m.
Minutes from January 8, 2007 meeting approved.
New Business:
Sunday Practices-It will be brought to the SCCC meeting to see if practices can be held in the afternoons on Sundays at the Skaggs Catholic Center.
Baseball status-At this time nobody has stepped up to take charge of the program. Clay Jones could be a possible committee head. Steve Cramblitt is working with an 8th grade super league team. Parents are being directed to contact the Hillcrest league if their children want to play.
SCCYAA handbook-reviewed and several changes need to be made, and then it will be sent to the SCCC for final approval.
Current Sports Planning:
Boys Lacrosse-Rose
Registration was still going on at the time. Currently they have
Storm (1 & 2 grade) 28 boys-3 teams
Lightening (3 & 4 grade) 23 boys-1 team
Thunder (4 & 5 grade) 48 boys-3 teams
Juniors (7 & 8 grade) 19 boys-1 team
Chumash is now being run by the ULA
Soccer-Taddeo Currently looking for board members. They are hoping to hold several clinics. There are currently no teams set up for elementary and middle school children through SJB. There are teams through Sandy City.
Upcoming Sports Planning:
Football-Markosian They have joined a new football league, Utah County Football Conference. This consists of teams from American Fork, Lehi, and Alpine. The cost will be $185.00, there will be new equipment, and a board is in place. The teams are grade dependent and there is an A and B team.
