SCCYAA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 13, 2006

Attending: John Moran, Laurie Maddox, Susie Rose, Jim Markosian, Jim Bentz, Tricia Heinz, Gwen Schwab and Deb Parkin.

Call to Order and Prayer at 7:10 p.m.

Minutes from October 9, 2006 meeting approved.

Old Business:
Adjustments to the manual are in progress.

New Business:
Basketball Update-Moran.  There are 26 teams and 235 kids playing.  The draft went well. Having the high school coaches involved was good.  They worked with the coaches and helped with the assessments.  There was some discussion of security.  It has been thought to give the coaches and assistants key cards to get into the gym from 3:30-9:00 p.m.

Softball-Thomas.  Teresa Thomas turned in her resignation due to having neck surgery with an undetermined recovery.  She recommended Jim Fitzpatrick to take her position.

Lacrosse-Moran and Rose.  There is a new website for youth lacrosse, thanks to Susie Rose, JDyouthlax.com.  Peter Milburn is the head of the youth boys for the ULA.

Football-Markosian.  The season wrapped up with 2 teams going to the playoffs.  A third and fourth grade team, and a fifth and sixth grade team.  The 3-4 team won the championship.  The football program will be changing and going with the Utah Valley Football Conference.  Cost will be the same, however there will be single grade teams, and there will be A and B teams.
