Called to Order: 7:05

New Business:

AED (defibrillators)-Mary Jo Duing.  The SCC now owns 4 machines.  1 in the       elementary school, outside the faculty lounge, 1 in the middle school foyer, and 2 in the high school, in the commons area and the weight-room corridor.

The cabinets for these machines cannot be locked.  However there is an alarm that will sound if the machines are removed, and a key is used to deactivate the alarm.

There has been extensive instruction to the students that these are not devices to be played with.

Training is mandatory for faculty members of SCC, but optional for staff members.  There will be a training March 4 for volunteers, the cost is $15.00 per person.

The machines are housed in a waterproof case.  They can be taken out into a wet field, or in the rain, and still deliver the needed care.  Donations are needed to help defray the costs, and to get more machines.  Information will be posted on the SCCYAA web site about how to donate and the locations of the AED machines.

It has been suggested to have the facilities for each sport to be trained in CPR and AED.  Ideally it would be good to have a trained individual at every sporting event.

Tryout/Draft Policy-Maddox, Markosian.  Handouts were given, and reviewed by the present executive committee members.  Katherine Taddeo made a motion to approve the policy with changes as discussed and revised as necessary.  Sonya Davis seconded the motion, and it was passed unanimously.
